Digital Modem Engineer
You will lead the design and development of custom, low-latency modem architectures for point-to-point wireless networks. You will design and simulate physical-layer algorithms, build modem and system models, investigate performance for sign-off and RTL development, and collaborate on efficient implementations with digital designers and firmware developers.
Responsibilities
- Design and simulate physical-layer wireless communication algorithms
- Realize wireless communication algorithms for low-latency applications
- Implement modem and system models
- Perform detailed performance investigations
- Enable RTL development
- Collaborate with digital designers and firmware developers on efficient implementations
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing, building, and deploying digital modem systems
- Deep knowledge of digital modem design
- Experience with Python, C/C++ and/or Matlab for algorithm development and link-level simulation
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Experience with wireless modem FPGA, ASIC, or custom data-path logic design preferred
- Familiarity with RF and microwave components preferred
