Nuneaton | Full-time | Permanent | Hybrid

We offer hybrid working, with an expectation that you'll be present at our Holland & Barrett office in Nuneaton for a minimum of 2 days a week.

Intro

Online shopping moves quickly. Your job is to make sure we move with it.

As a Digital Trading Manager, you'll be responsible for the digital performance of your categories across the H&B website and app - looking at what customers are doing, what's working and where there's an opportunity to do more.

You'll work closely with Category teams and a wide range of digital specialists, from Merchandising and Marketing to Product, Technology and UX. You'll connect the dots between customer behaviour and commercial performance, turning insight into clear action.

The goal is simple: grow digital revenue, margin and customers by making better trading decisions.

What you'll be doing

  • Own the day-to-day digital performance of your categories, keeping a close eye on revenue, margin, traffic, conversion, AOV, IPB, customer growth and availability.
  • Work out what's behind the numbers - whether it's traffic, range, pricing, promotion, stock, content, conversion or the customer experience.
  • Spot digital opportunities and risks, quantify them and turn them into clear commercial actions.
  • Partner with Category Managers on range, NPD, pricing, promotions and omnichannel plans, bringing the digital customer into the conversation.
  • Set digital priorities for launches, key trading moments, brands and ranges, working with Digital Merchandising and other specialist teams to bring them to life.
  • Work with PPC, SEO, eCRM and Social teams to make sure acquisition and activation are focused on the best opportunities.
  • Partner with Product, Technology and UX to identify customer friction and improve key digital journeys.
  • Work with suppliers and brands to develop joint digital growth plans and make better use of their expertise, content and investment.
  • Keep an eye on digital availability and lost-sales opportunities, working with Category and Supply Chain teams to respond.
  • Measure the impact of what you change, learn from it and use that learning to improve the next decision.
  • Coach Category colleagues on digital KPIs, customer behaviour and the levers they can use to improve performance.

What you'll bring

  • Significant experience in eCommerce, digital trading or a D2C commercial role within a fast-moving, omnichannel environment.
  • A strong understanding of how digital trading works, from traffic and conversion through to AOV, customer growth, range and availability.
  • The analytical instinct to look beyond a number and work out what is really driving performance.
  • Experience using digital data and customer insight to make commercial decisions.
  • Experience working across Category, Buying or Commercial teams, alongside Digital Marketing, SEO, PPC, Product, Technology or UX.
  • Strong commercial judgement and the confidence to influence people without having direct authority.
  • The ability to turn complex digital insight into a clear recommendation or action.
  • A customer-first mindset, with the curiosity to spot what customers are doing differently and what that could mean for the business.
  • Strong organisation and pace — you'll need to balance immediate trading opportunities with longer-term growth.
  • Marketplace experience would be useful, but it's not essential.
