Digital Transformation Specialist
We are seeking a results-driven Digital Transformation Specialist to lead the adoption of digital tools, workflows, and data-driven practices across our construction operations. This role bridges the gap between field operations, project management, and technology by identifying inefficiencies, implementing digital solutions (such as BIM, ERP, project management software, and IoT/field-data tools), and driving change management to improve productivity, safety, and profitability. The ideal candidate combines construction industry knowledge with strong technology and process-improvement skills.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a digital transformation roadmap aligned with company goals for design, pre-construction, and field operations.
Evaluate, select, and implement construction technology platforms (e.g. Procore, Autodesk BIM 360/Construction Cloud, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, ERP systems).
Lead pilot programs for emerging technologies such as drones, IoT sensors, AI-based scheduling, and digital twins.
Process Improvement & Data Management
Map existing workflows (estimating, scheduling, procurement, field reporting) and redesign them for digital efficiency.
Establish standardized data collection practices across projects to enable accurate reporting and analytics.
Build dashboards and reports that give leadership real-time visibility into project performance, cost, and schedule.
Change Management & Training
Partner with project managers, superintendents, and field crews to drive adoption of new tools and digital workflows.
Design and deliver training programs, user guides, and support resources for office and field staff.
Act as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and continuous improvement of digital tools.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with IT, Preconstruction, Operations, and Safety teams to align technology initiatives with business needs.
Liaise with software vendors and technology partners to manage implementations, integrations, and support contracts.
Support integration between BIM/design data and field construction management systems.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related field.
Possesses minimum 3 – 5 years experience in construction/engineering industry, with exposure to digital tools, IT systems, or process improvement.
Working knowledge of construction management software (e.g. Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project).
Strong analytical skills with experience in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical field staff.
Strong project management and organizational skills, able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Good to Have
Experience with BIM coordination or Building Information Modelling workflows.
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. Sage, Viewpoint, CMiC) and their integration with field tools.
Certification in change management (e.g. Prosci) or project management (PMP).
Experience with IoT devices, drone data capture, or AI/automation tools in construction.
Background in Lean Construction or continuous improvement methodologies.
