DigiTribe - Security Officer

Our client, an established financial institution in Belgium, is looking for a Senior IT Security Officer to strengthen its First Line of Defence IT Security team. In this role, you'll contribute both deep technical expertise and organisational know-how, helping the team grow in maturity across its different security domains.

Your responsibilities

• Play a transversal role within the IT Security team, supporting capabilities such as Incident Management, Vulnerability Management, Hardening, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and Security Projects.
• Act as a technical reference for fellow Security Officers, sharing your experience and expertise to help them succeed.
• Bring structure and organisational best practices to the team, raising the maturity of each security pillar.
• Represent the organisation in technical discussions, both internally with other IT teams and externally with third-party suppliers.

Technical skills

• Extensive, hands-on knowledge of IT security
• Proven experience improving Incident Management processes
• Solid knowledge of system hardening and vulnerability management
• Experience in Security Governance

Soft skills

• Highly organised, with a natural talent for creating structure
• Excellent interpersonal skills; you build trust and collaborate easily
• Project management experience
• A strong eye for detail
• Able to identify process gaps and drive improvements
