Medical Alternatives, Inc. is hiring caring, dependable Direct Care Workers to provide daily support for adults with traumatic brain injuries living in residential homes and supported independent living programs.

Full-Time Position

  • Minimum 32 hours per week
  • Overtime opportunities available

Available Schedules

Choose from a variety of shifts:

  • 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • 10:00 PM – 10:00 AM

Compensation

$17.00–$19.00 per hour
(Pay based on experience and qualifications.)


Daily Responsibilities

As a Direct Care Worker, you'll help individuals achieve greater independence while ensuring their health, safety, and well-being.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with personal care and daily routines
  • Preparing meals and helping with light housekeeping
  • Supporting grocery shopping and community outings
  • Assisting with medication administration according to company procedures
  • Transporting individuals using company vehicles
  • Documenting services and communicating with the care team
  • Encouraging independence while providing compassionate support

Qualifications

We're looking for individuals who are reliable, compassionate, and eager to learn.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Michigan driver's license with a good driving record
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred (but not required):

  • Experience in direct care, caregiving, healthcare, or human services
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • CBIS Certification
