Direct Sales Team Leader - Ahli Islamic
SUMMARY OF ROLE:
Responsible for leading and motivating the Direct Sales
Unit (DSU) team to meet and exceed assigned Islamic banking sales targets.
The role holder will drive new business acquisition, maintain high standards
of customer service, and ensure compliance with the bank's internal policies
and regulatory requirements. In addition to contributing individually to
sales, the team leader is expected to manage, mentor, and support the
performance and development of the sales representatives under their
supervision. |
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the Islamic Direct Sales Unit to achieve assigned sales
targets for retail Islamic banking products, particularly deposits.
- Proactively identify and approach prospective customers
through field visits, referrals, and campaigns.
- Team Leadership and Development
- Supervise, support, and mentor the Direct Sales
Representatives to enhance individual and team performance.
- Conduct daily team briefings, performance reviews, and
on-the-job training to build skills and motivation.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with new and existing
customers by ensuring a high level of service.
- Address customer inquiries and ensure prompt resolution of
issues in line with service standards.
Sales Operations and Compliance
- Ensure all customer applications and sales activities are
carried out in accordance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the accuracy and completeness of submitted
documentation and coordinate with relevant departments for processing.
Market Development and Promotion
- Represent the bank at external events and locations to
promote Islamic banking products.
- Identify key sales locations and build partnerships with
organizations to support sales efforts.
Reporting and Coordination
- Prepare and submit sales performance reports, client visit
updates, and tracking dashboards to the Head of Islamic Direct Sales.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as Operations,
Product, and Compliance to ensure seamless execution of sales processes.
Quality Assurance
- Monitor the quality of customer engagements conducted by the
team and ensure adherence to service expectations.
- Implement corrective actions when service gaps or compliance
risks are identified.
Requirements
- Omani nationals only
- College Diploma in Business or a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum of 5 years’ banking experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role within a sales team in the banking or financial services sector, preferably within Islamic banking.
