Indera (formerly ARISE/EFR)is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Community Habilitation services to an individual with autism in the Dewitt/Outer University area.

They are looking for a dedicated DSP to provide support and assistance with working on goals, both at home and in community settings. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, support during community outings/events (movies, walks, bowling, classes, festivals), assistance with increasing independent living skills (cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, maintaining their apartment) and transportation, as needed. We are looking for individuals who are dependable, patient and enthusiastic. Reliable transportation, valid NYS driver’s license and a HS diploma/GED are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency. Indera (formerly ARISE/EFR) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Hours: Tues, Wed and Fri afternoons – 12:00/1:00pm-5:00/6:00pm. (Approximately 12-18 hours per week. Part-time position.)

Pay rate: $25.00 per hour.
