Self-Direction Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Baldwinsville, NY Area (Job #AT-MS)

Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the Baldwinsville area with a woman in her mid-40’s. She is looking for a dedicated staff to provide her with support and assist her with maintaining her independence both at home and in community settings. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to assisting with transportation, accessing the community, maintaining social boundaries, meal preparation and assisting with general independence.

She is generally friendly, outgoing, and loves to socialize. She is a social butterfly. She enjoys socializing, exploring the community and meeting new people. She benefits from someone who can encourage and support her to explore new interests and learn social boundaries.

We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and outgoing. Prior experience a plus. DSP should feel comfortable participating in physical activities, trying new experiences, and helping her explore activities of her interest.

Valid NYS driver's license and a reliable vehicle required.

Pay Rate: $23/hour All new hires must complete a five-hour initial training online; the training rate is $17/hour.

Hours: Tuesdays 9am to 1pm or 10am to 2pm; 4 hours a week; 1 Day a week; the family and individual are willing to work with potential staff on scheduling for the right fit.
