As a Direct Support Professional, you’ll support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential and community-based settings while helping them achieve greater independence, community inclusion, and quality of life.

What You’ll Do?
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and meal preparation.
• Help individuals develop independent living and social skills.
• Support medical appointments, recreational activities, community outings, and other scheduled events.
• Administer medications and document services in accordance with agency policies and state regulations.
• Complete required documentation, progress notes, and incident reports accurately and on time.
• Assist with behavioral support plans and promote positive behavior interventions.
• Maintain a safe, clean, respectful, and supportive living environment.

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for driving positions.
  • Ability to pass required background screenings and pre-employment requirements.
  • Ability to lift, transfer, and assist individuals as needed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • One year of experience supporting individuals with IDD, behavioral health, child and family services, elder care, caregiving, or a related human services field is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
