What You'll Do
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will:
• Provide direct care, instruction, supervision, and support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and community inclusion.
• Implement individualized service plans and positive behavior supports.
• Assist individuals in developing life skills, communication skills, social skills, and personal independence.
• Facilitate engaging activities that support learning, cognitive development, and personal growth.
• Support participation in community outings, volunteer opportunities, recreational activities, and educational workshops.
• Monitor participant progress and communicate concerns, changes, or service needs to leadership staff.
• Complete documentation, assessments, data collection, and required reports accurately and timely.
• Assist with meals, personal care, and activities of daily living as needed.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and supportive environment.
• Transport participants safely using company vehicles when required.
• Protect participant confidentiality and immediately report concerns regarding abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
• Work collaboratively with Site Managers, QDDPs, families, and team members to deliver quality services.

Qualifications
Required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to work effectively with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation and records
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record, if required
• Ability to complete required background screenings and training requirements
• Commitment to providing person-centered supports
Preferred
• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Human services, healthcare, education, or related experience
• Experience implementing behavior support strategies
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification
Schedule
• PRN / As Needed
• Flexible scheduling based on program needs
• Opportunities for weekday coverage, call-offs, vacations, and special activities
• Additional hours may be available based on staffing needs
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and assist individuals throughout the day
• Ability to lift and provide physical assistance as needed
• Ability to accompany and supervise individuals during community activities and outings
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
