1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed – Camillus, NY (DN-LR)

A 41-year-old female in the Camillus area is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist her with money management and budgeting, being active in the community, help with household tasks and meal/shopping and support with learning new parenting skills.

She spends most of her time at home with her family and friends. She takes care of her children and her own home. She enjoys shopping for items like food, clothing and window shopping. She would like to be able to get out of the house to stay busy while her children are at school.

The ideal candidate is creative, engaging, active, patient, and willing to travel to different locations. The ideal candidate must be willing to provide verbal and physical support with household tasks, making meals, and upkeep of her home. Must be willing to provide support with teaching parenting skills and willing to offer advice.

This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services.

Hours and days of work: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9-1pm.

Starting pay: Starting pay is $19.25 for Community Hab and increases with years of relevant experience.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work independently in the person’s home and/or community.
• Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills
• No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
• New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.
