A Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for assisting people with intellectual and other disabilities to live their lives as they choose.
Work Hours: 40 hours a week 2 pm -10 pm, 10pm - 6am. Every other weekend required.
Direct Support Positions assist adult with disabilities in our campus homes at our main location. DSP assist with daily activities such as personal care, leisure activities, meals, bathing and toileting. Also responsible for data collection and documentation. No
- Must be detail-oriented and have competent literacy and writing, documentation, communications, and interpersonal abilities.
- Campus home employees must be 16 years of age or older
- Enthusiasm about supporting people to live their best lives!
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with people served by New Hope, co-workers, family members, and the public.
- Ability to pass physical so you can lift people served if needed, drug testing and background checks. Desire to develop new skills and grow professionally.
