Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Full & Part-Time Shifts Available!

Location: Staples, Motley, and Pillager, MN

Position Summary

We are looking for Full and Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with disabilities, chronic mental illness, and/or brain injuries in a home setting.

DSPs help people live as safely and independently as possible. You will provide care, help with daily tasks, and support each person based on their needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Help with daily care and personal care needs
• Give medications as trained and directed
• Help with meals, cleaning, laundry, and other home tasks
• Help people build and use daily life skills
• Support people with trips, outings, and time in the community
• Follow each person's care and support plans
• Use safe ways to respond to changes in mood or behavior
• Check on people and help keep the home safe
• Complete notes and other required records
• Share key updates with the team
• Work with team leads, managers, and other care staff
• Follow company rules and state rules

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Must pass a Minnesota DHS background study
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to do the physical tasks of the job
• Basic computer skills
• Able to read and complete work notes
• Able to follow care plans, company rules, and 245D rules

Schedule Requirements

• Full and Part-Time shifts available
• Day: 7AM–7PM and 9AM–9PM
• Evening: 3PM–7PM and 3PM–9PM
• Awake NOC: 7PM–7AM
• Sleep NOC: 9PM–9AM
• Must be able to work assigned shifts
• includes every other weekend
• Must be on time and have good attendance
• Awake NOC staff must stay awake and alert for the full shift
• Sleep NOC staff must be able to wake up and help when needed
