About the Role:
Helping Hands Home Healthcare Agency in Bellefontaine, OH is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Home Healthcare Aide to join our caring team. Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families
- Monitor and document patient health status, reporting any changes to supervising staff
- Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and medication reminders
- Support patient mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed
- Transport or accompany clients to medical appointments and errands
- Follow individualized care plans developed by healthcare professionals
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Prior experience as a home health aide, CNA, or caregiver is a plus
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable demeanor
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and assisting with patient mobility
