1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed – North Syracuse NY Area (JB-JS)
A 45-year-old male is looking for a Direct Support Professional to support them in North Syracuse. He is outgoing and engaging and enjoys being social with others. He can be shy and quiet at first, but he quickly warms up to new people. When he becomes comfortable, he is quite outspoken and loves to share humor and laughter with others. He likes venturing into his community, especially to visit thrift shops and dollar stores, and he enjoys going to garage sales and yard sales.
The ideal candidate is patient, personable, and understands that building trust takes time. The ideal candidate is open and willing to participate in activities that he enjoys.
This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.
Hours and days of work: Monday-Thursday 9AM-2:00PM. With some flexiability as agreed upon.
Pay rate: $19. 25
Location: North Syracuse, NY
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work independently in the person’s home and/or community.
- Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills
- No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
- New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.
