As a DSP, you’ll work one-on-one with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD), supporting daily routines, community involvement, and personal goals in a way that is engaging, respectful, and empowering.

What You’ll Do
- Support daily routines (cooking, cleaning, personal care with the client)
- Help clients get into the community and stay engaged
- Follow care plans and goals
- Communicate with families and your team
- Complete notes and documentation
- Ensure safety and well-being at all times

Current Clients Needing Additional Support
Client 1 (Lebanon):
- Female | 6 yrs | 97355
- Schedule: 5:30am - 8am and 2pm-5:30pm on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays
- Likes: She is a spunky and energetic. She thrives on routine, loves being outdoors, playing with water and spending time with her puppy, Blue.
- Needs: She is nonverbal and communicates through vocalizations, gestures, and guiding others to her needs. She requires full support for all activities of daily living, including dressing, toileting, and hygiene, as she lacks safety awareness and cannot independently initiate tasks. She is very attached to her mother and requires consistency across her support team. Due to her high energy and lack of safety awareness, she requires constant supervision and exclusive focus in the community, including mandatory hand-holding.
Client 2 (Lebanon):
- Male | 6 yrs | 97355
- Schedule: 5:30am - 8am and 2pm-5:30pm on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays
- Likes: He is described as funny, animated, outgoing, and gentle. He has a preference for
outdoor activities, water play, and time alone to decompress. - Needs: He is a non-verbal individual who relies on gestures and is beginning to use a few
words. He requires constant supervision, particularly during meals, and necessitates an exclusive focus in community settings, including hand-holding for safety. His support team prioritizes his sensory needs through the use of sensory items, fidgets, and a sensory swing, while focusing on social skill development and self-advocacy.
Requirements
- 18+ years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of caregiving or related experience
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation
- Smartphone required
- Must be able to successfully pass all state-required background checks and meet all ODDS employment eligibility requirements.
- CPR/First Aid/AED (or willing to obtain)
Pay & Benefits
- $24.00/hour
