Direct Support Professional - Liverpool

Advocates is seeking a reliable, patient, and understanding Mentor (DSP/1:1 support staff) to work with an independent man with a disability. In this critical role, you will assist him in maintaining key independent living skills, support him with skills to communicate and interact with others, and accompany him in experiencing social, recreational, and interested opportunities in his home and community. The ideal candidate for the DSP position will have effective communication and leadership skills, patience, and strong organizational skills. Please respond with a resume or summary of experience.

Candidate must possess a keen sense of attention to detail, especially when electronically logging each day's time, mileage, and service documentation. DSP must have a valid email address.

Hours and days of work

Monday and Thursday (11 AM - 6 PM). There is possibility for a Saturday or two a month as events come up/occur, if open and available, along with up-to full time opportunities within the agency which may be available with additional individuals.

Pay rate: $22 per hour when providing direct support. The hourly rate for indirect/training is $16 per hour.

Location: Liverpool, NY
