Direct Support Professional - Liverpool, NY

Advocates is seeking an attentive and responsible Mentor (DSP/1:1 support staff) to work with a friendly young man with a developmental disability. He enjoys music and plays two instruments. He recently graduated from college and works full time during the day. In this critical role, you will assist him with improving his social and organizational skills, as well as helping him increase his physical activity. The ideal candidate will have effective communication, organization, and leadership skills, patience, and be reliable. Please respond with resume or summary of experience.

Candidate must possess a keen sense of attention to detail, especially when electronically logging each day's time, mileage, and service documentation. Internet access and a valid email address are required.

Hours and days of work

Saturdays and/or Sundays. Hours are flexible and can be worked out with the family upon hire.

This is a part-time position, but opportunities exist for additional hours with other individuals within the agency.

Pay rate: $23.00 per hour when providing direct support. The hourly rate for indirect/training is $16.00 per hour.
