A 36-year-old man in the Syracuse area is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist him with getting out into the community, developing his social skills, and making friends. The individuals' passions include playing video games, watching YouTube, and bowling. The ideal candidate will be able to work with the individual to become familiar with the area they live in and discover some social opportunities within their community.

The DSP will provide consistent encouragement, ensure safety, and help create meaningful, engaging routines that build confidence and autonomy.

The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, and energetic, with a supportive and engaging approach. You should feel comfortable participating in outdoor activities, trying new experiences together, and helping them explore their interests. While experience working with people with disabilities is helpful, it is not required—what matters most is creativity, compassion, and a genuine commitment to empowering others to thrive.

The hours are flexible, and up to 15 per week.

The pay rate is $21 per hour.
