Self-Direction DSP - East Syracuse Ny Area (Job #MG-AB)

Indera (formerly ARISE/EFR)is seeking a male Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with an active and creative young man with a developmental disability. In this role, you will assist him with accessing college and work in his home and community. In the community, he values accessing piano lessons, community events, and opportunities for social interaction. He is working on independent living skills such as maintaining his belongings and cleaning up after himself. He enjoys cooking, shopping, biking, and music. The ideal candidate will have a fun sense of humor, effective communication skills, and strong organizational skills.

Hours and days of work,

10 hours anytime Monday through Thursday in the afternoons and/or evenings.

Willing to consider different schedules for the right applicant.

Payrate: $22.00

Location: East Syracuse, NY

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assistance with independent living skills, support with health and safety and pursuing personal interests. Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities a plus. A reliable vehicle and a valid NYS driver's license are required. All mileage accrued while with the individual is reimbursed.
