What You'll Actually Be Doing

As a Direct Support Professional, you will:

• Provide hands-on support with daily living (hygiene, meals, housekeeping)
• Support individuals in the community (appointments, activities, outings)
• Help individuals build independence and life skills
• Maintain a safe, structured, and positive environment
• Follow individualized care plans and document services provided

⚠ Reality of the Role

This position includes:

• Personal care (including bathing, toileting, hygiene)
• Working nights and weekends, regularly
• Supporting individuals through challenging behaviors

Basic Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license & reliable transportation
• Ability to pass background check (required in Ohio DSP roles)
• Willingness to complete required training (CPR/First Aid, DSP training)
