Latham is a nationally recognized leader in supporting children and adults with complex special needs, including Prader-Willi syndrome. We're looking for compassionate, dependable people to join our team!

Compensation: $20.20–$21.85 per hour (based on experience)
Location: Across Cape Cod, including Brewster, Dennis, Yarmouth, South Yarmouth, Sandwich, and Wareham
Schedule: Multiple full-time and part-time opportunities available

Up to $1,000 Sign-On Bonus!

A Day in the Life of a DSP
  • Start your day by connecting with the individuals you support and helping them get ready for a successful day.
  • Support daily routines including meals, personal care, medication administration, and other activities of daily living.
  • Make the day fun and meaningful by planning and leading activities based on individual interests, goals, and preferences.
  • Get out into the community for recreational outings, errands, appointments, shopping, or other activities that encourage independence and community involvement.
  • Build important life skills by teaching and reinforcing skills that help individuals become more confident and independent.
  • Be someone they can count on by providing encouragement, positive guidance, and support throughout the day.
  • End your day knowing that you helped someone feel supported, accomplish a goal, learn something new, or simply have a great day.

What We're Looking For
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license for some positions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Customer service, retail, hospitality, education, childcare, or healthcare experience is a plus and highly transferable to this role
What You'll Do
  • Support individuals with activities of daily living, meal preparation, and medication administration
  • Plan and lead structured activities, recreational outings, and community experiences
  • Teach and reinforce life skills that promote independence
  • Implement individualized support and behavior plans
  • Provide positive role modeling, encouragement, guidance, and informal counseling
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment
  • Build meaningful relationships with the individuals you support
  • Work collaboratively with coworkers, clinical staff, and supervisors
