Advocates is seeking a Mentor (DSP/1:1 support staff) to support an active adult male with a developmental disability. He and his family are looking for a Mentor to assist him with working on his goals within his surrounding community.

Goals include:
• Volunteering in the community
• Making healthy choices through exercise and diet

Positive communication and relationship building

Seeking a DSP who is reliable, enthusiastic, creative, and active. Related experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred but not required. Please respond with resume or summary of experience.

Candidate must possess a keen sense of attention to detail, especially when electronically logging each day's time, mileage, and service documentation. DSP must have a valid email address.

Hours and days of work:

Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from approximately 9 AM – 3 PM (6 hour shifts)

Full-time opportunities may be available.

Pay rate: $21.30 per hour when providing direct support. The hourly rate for indirect/training is $16 per hour.

Location: Syracuse, NY
