Director, Accounting

You will lead the global accounting function, overseeing the integrity and accuracy of the company's financial reporting, close processes, and compliance framework. You will manage day-to-day accounting operations while building scalable processes that support a high-growth SaaS environment. You will partner closely with Finance, FP&A, Legal, and business leaders to ensure alignment between operational activities and financial outcomes. In this hands-on leadership role, you will both guide the team and actively contribute to key deliverables such as month-end close, audits, and technical accounting matters. You will play a central role in managing the close process, preparing for and leading annual audits, and continuously improving accounting operations, while driving cross-functional alignment and maintaining strong internal controls and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations

• Partner with Finance, FP&A, Legal, and business leaders to align operational activities with financial outcomes
• Manage the month-end and quarter-end close process
• Prepare for and lead annual audits
• Handle technical accounting matters
• Drive cross-functional alignment and maintain strong internal controls and compliance standards
• Lead and develop the accounting team

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles within a SaaS or technology-driven organization
• Strong expertise in US GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end and quarter-end close processes
• Experience leading teams and developing talent
• Experience in SaaS accounting, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), subscription models, and billing integrations (highly preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar
• Familiarity with financial reporting and consolidation tools
• Experience partnering with FP&A systems such as Adaptive or Anaplan is a plus
• Proven experience leading annual audits and working with external auditors
• Strong understanding of internal controls and compliance frameworks
• Track record of implementing process improvements that enhance scalability and efficiency
