Director, Business Development
SUMMARY
The Director of Business Development drives product adoption, revenue growth, and market expansion by building strong relationships with specifiers, customers, and strategic partners. This role combines commercial acumen with technical understanding to influence product selection, expand international presence, and identify opportunities for research and innovation. The ideal candidate is proactive, persuasive, and energized by shaping markets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Engage architects, engineers, consultants, and other specifiers to position MPI’s solution in specifications
- Creates growth strategies, including increased revenue goals, and executes on those strategies
- Deliver technical presentations, training sessions, and product demonstrations to drive inclusion in project specifications.
- Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and emerging market segments.
- Promotes the MPI brand and acts as a brand ambassador for the company.
- Manages key accounts and ensures consistent customer satisfaction through regular follow ups and engagement
- Research trends in the commercial coatings industry and manage product lifecycle management to ensure that MPI is staying ahead of those trends.
- Research customer needs and trends and uses the information to inform the business and product development strategies.
- Act as a company representative at trade meetings, conferences, etc., as aligned with sales strategy.
