Director - Capital Delivery & Technical Services
Summary
Lead Qiddiya’s workplace capital delivery, setting strategy, standards and governance to transform corporate environments through design, engineering and sustainability for optimal employee experience and asset value.
Purpose
Establish and lead Qiddiya’s Workplace Capital Delivery & Technical Services capability, creating an integrated function responsible for the strategy, governance and delivery of the corporate workplace capital portfolio. The role translates workplace strategy into world-class environments by integrating workplace design, architecture, engineering, sustainability, programme delivery and technical governance. Reporting to the Executive Director, Workplace, the role builds organizational capability, develops standards, and leads multidisciplinary specialists and partners to deliver future-ready workplaces that enable organizational performance, employee experience and long-term asset value.
Key Accountabilities
- Build and lead the Workplace Capital Delivery & Technical Services function, establishing its operating model, governance, standards and delivery frameworks.
- Own the corporate workplace capital investment portfolio from business case through design, delivery, commissioning and operational readiness.
- Translate workplace strategy into innovative workplace concepts, design standards and enterprise-wide workplace guidelines.
- Govern multidisciplinary vendor teams spanning workplace design, architecture, programme management, engineering and sustainability. Act as Client for Workplace internally within and external to Qiddiya.
- Provide executive oversight of workplace design quality, project governance, programme performance, budget, risk and stakeholder engagement.
- Establish technical standards covering engineering, building systems, smart workplace technologies, commissioning and operational integration. Work with experts within or Commercial Office business Unit (COBU)
- Embed sustainability, wellbeing, energy efficiency and lifecycle thinking into Corporate workplace investments in partnership with specialist leads across our business.
- Develop consultant and contractor frameworks and ensure consistent governance across external partners.
- Partner with HR, Technology, Finance and Development to align workplace investments with business priorities.
- Build long-term organisational capability through recruitment, coaching, knowledge transfer and continuous improvement. Perform a gap analysis of our current technical specialism.
Requirements
- 12+ years' experience leading corporate real estate, workplace transformation, design management or capital delivery within a large, complex organisation or consultancy. They bring an impressive portfolio of workplace transformations and have operated across architecture, interior design, engineering, programme management or corporate real estate leadership. They are recognized for building capability, influencing senior stakeholders and integrating design excellence with technical rigour and sustainable outcomes.
Experience & Qualifications
- Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related discipline; postgraduate qualification desirable.
- Leadership of major corporate workplace, campus or headquarters transformation programmes.
- Experience establishing governance, standards and operating models for workplace delivery.
- Strong understanding of workplace design, project delivery, engineering coordination and sustainability principles.
- Professional registration or certification (e.g. RIBA, PMP, CEng, CoreNet, LEED, WELL or equivalent) advantageous.
