Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Should be in the investment banking / financial services industry for around 12-15 years, of which last 4-5 years must be in business development/origination roles specializing in financial services sector including fintech as well as new-age tech sector

  • Should currently be at Director or equivalent level

  • Should possess deep understanding of the ECM and M&A/Advisory/PE products. Will be responsible for spearheading deal origination efforts in the chosen industry verticals for ECM, M&A/Advisory as well as PE syndication products

  • Should possess strong senior level corporate relationships with owners/CEO of mid-large and large cap listed entities and of large unlisted companies and have the ability and history of driving business from them

  • Should possess strong partner level relationships of financial sponsors covering the above sectors and have the ability and history of driving business from them

  • Should have strong origination abilities in the above verticals and have a proven track record of deal experience and closure in transactions in the chosen verticals. Should have the ability to lead multiple mandates at the same time

  • Should have abilities to proactively develop and present high-quality Equity and M&A analysis and strategic ideas to prospects and clients

  • On live transactions, should possess the abilities to get involved in times of difficulties in deals and during high level negotiations

  • Should possess strong leadership skills and an entrepreneurial disposition

  • Should be a team leader and player. Humbleness is important

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or above in any discipline

  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in Investment Banking domain

  • Extensive knowledge of project management and client serving.

  • In-depth understanding of Indian Market

  • Strong analytical and quantitative, interpersonal and problem-solving skills able to work independently, attention to details, result-driven, self-motivated, self-starter, proactive mindset, enthusiastic and a team player

  • Excellent command of English Language fluent in both spoken and written
