The Opportunity
The Continuing Care Branch is seeking a creative, innovative and highly motivated team player with exceptional leadership skills for the permanent full time position of Director of Corporate Support and Infrastructure based in Regina. This position will inspire, coach and support a team in the oversight of provincial initiatives, including but not limited to: policy development, strategic direction and legislation pertaining to community based health services such as acquired brain injury, medical assistance in dying, long-term care, home care, rehabilitation and licensing. This position also provides leadership on various infrastructure projects in partnership with stakeholders and development and oversight of branch budget and forecasting.
Under the leadership of the Executive Director, this position:
- Leverages relationships across Ministries, the health system and other sectors and uses research and information to provide advice and recommendations to senior officials on health and social sector priorities and innovations to address current and future challenges;
- In alignment with Government planning and budget processes, researches, develops, implements and evaluates programs, policies and initiatives including strategic direction, legislative and regulatory changes;
- Leads, coaches and inspires direct reports to a shared vision and creates cross functional teams;
- Interprets and applies legislation, regulations and policies particularly government financial practices to provide advice to internal and external partners on its application;
- Creates a culture of shared responsibility and mutual accountability with team members, internal and external partners; and
- Engages staff in other ministries and external partners in planning and advancing inter-sectoral priorities, such as new capital projects.

Technical Knowledge and Skills:
As our ideal candidate you will be a results-oriented individual with strong verbal and written communications skills, and you will demonstrate:
- Extensive experience in health research, evaluation, and statistical and policy analysis to provide direction and strategic decision making with respect to research design and methodology for projects related to program evaluation, monitoring and accountability;
- Experience in public sector planning and decision-making, including government budget and financial process, policy development, program evaluation, project management and program management to effectively and efficiently develop and advance priorities;
- Broad understanding and knowledge of health care issues at the provincial and national level, especially in terms of health policy, infrastructure, government budgeting and finance and data management, to provide direction and strategic respect to same;
- Experience in interpreting and applying legislation, developing and growing relationships and negotiating partnerships and agreements with a diverse range of partners;
- Integrity, openness, and inclusiveness by treating team members with respect, trust, dignity and empathy;
- You will have exceptional project leadership skills and the ability to be accepted as a leader throughout the health system.
