Director, Data & AI Transformation and Governance, Asia

The candidate will provide technical and managerial leadership for the design, development, deployment, and governance of Data AI solutions across the Asian operating companies. The role translates complex business and insurance challenges into scalable analytical and AI solutions that deliver measurable business value. It provides technical guidance to regional Data Scientists, challenges solution architecture and modelling decisions, and works with Group and Operating-Company teams to strengthen local implementation and maintenance capabilities. Govern the Ageas data strategy within Asia, ensuring responsible use of AI, and robust data stewardship, and effective management through frameworks and governance structures. Deliver Data AI projects in collaboration with the Asian Opcos and Group Companies through identification of technical solutions, translation of technical solutions into business impact with success, with emphasis on achieving a sustainable business impact Collaborate with business stakeholders (CEOs, Exco members, etc.) to identify opportunities for leveraging Data and AI to solve complex business challenges Manage a team of data science resource(s), and develop practitioners of the Data AI team creating and retaining top talents in the field through mentoring and coaching Oversee the integration of AI technologies into existing business processes, ensuring alignment with organisational goals Develop and govern the Data strategy throughout the Asian Opcos, ensuring that data assets from both RO and Group are leveraged to drive business growth, operational efficiency, and innovation Provide leadership for Data AI Governance initiatives, including oversight of Responsible AI standards, AI Governance Committees, and implementation of Ageas Data Management Frameworks Use agile delivery approaches for Data AI projects (e.g., how to tackle the data management hurdle, operationalisation back into the business, etc.) Work with the Asian Opcos to develop their solution implementation and maintenance capabilities to ensure sustainability of transformation make them progressively autonomous
