Director, Demand Generation & Account-Based Marketing (ABM)
Location: United States (Remote)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: 220,000–240,000 Base Salary + Equity
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Director of Demand Generation & Account-Based Marketing (ABM) to build and scale the pipeline generation engine for a high-growth enterprise AI technology company.
This is an opportunity to help establish a new market category, increase awareness among enterprise buyers, and translate marketing programs into measurable sales-qualified pipeline.
The ideal candidate is a data-driven B2B SaaS marketing leader with experience in high-growth AI startups, exposure to both startup and larger technology environments, and a proven ability to develop full-funnel demand generation programs from the ground up.
This role requires a combination of strategic leadership and hands-on execution, with responsibility for reaching complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise buying committees.
Key Responsibilities
Build and execute the demand generation and ABM roadmap, strategy, and campaign plan, expanding existing programs into a scalable pipeline generation engine.
Lead scaled demand generation initiatives alongside targeted ABM campaigns across approximately 200 priority enterprise accounts and a broader audience of approximately 1,000 accounts.
Own full-funnel marketing strategy across paid, organic, and account-based channels.
Manage a seven-figure marketing budget with accountability for sales-qualified pipeline and sales-qualified opportunities (SQOs), rather than marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) alone.
Develop and execute targeted programs to engage multiple stakeholders within enterprise buying committees.
Partner closely with sales and business development teams to improve engagement and create opportunities within target accounts.
Establish reporting processes, measure campaign effectiveness, and continuously test and optimize programs to improve pipeline performance.
Help increase awareness and demand for an emerging enterprise technology category.
Potentially expand leadership responsibilities to include events, sales development, and international demand generation.
Required Qualifications
10–16 years of experience in B2B demand generation, growth marketing, integrated marketing, and/or account-based marketing.
Leadership experience in demand generation, growth marketing, or integrated marketing at a high-growth AI startup, ideally at the Director, Head, or Lead level.
Demonstrated experience building and scaling demand generation programs from scratch in a high-growth environment.
Proven ownership of marketing budgets of $1 million or more, with measurable results in sales-qualified pipeline and opportunities.
Hands-on experience with account-based marketing platforms such as 6sense, Demandbase, or Influ2.
Experience using Marketo for marketing automation.
Hands-on experience executing paid media campaigns across LinkedIn and retargeting channels.
Experience managing full-funnel marketing strategies across paid, organic, and ABM channels.
Demonstrated career progression with increasing responsibility in B2B demand generation.
Ability to connect marketing investments and activities to measurable business outcomes.
Preferred Background
Experience working in both high-growth startups and larger technology or SaaS organizations.
Experience marketing complex enterprise technology solutions to multi-stakeholder buying committees.
Familiarity with marketing and CRM platforms such as HubSpot and Salesforce.
A track record of building demand in emerging technology categories where market awareness is still developing.
