Director - Design Management
Summary
The Director of Design Management leads multidisciplinary teams and external consultants to deliver complex, large-scale development projects from concept through detailed design. This role ensures design quality, regulatory compliance, and alignment with project budgets and stakeholder expectations.

As Director - Design Management, you will play a key leadership role in guiding complex design programs from early concept through detailed design. The role is focused on driving alignment across consultants, stakeholders, and project objectives while helping ensure design outcomes support quality, compliance, delivery expectations, and broader development goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary design teams across concept, schematic, and detailed design phases.
- Manage external consultants to deliver coordinated, high-quality design packages on schedule.
- Oversee design reviews, approvals, and compliance with project standards and regulations.
- Align design outcomes with budget, program, stakeholder expectations, and development objectives.
- Present design progress, risks, and recommendations to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- 12+ years of experience leading large-scale design management across complex development projects.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary consultants and delivering coordinated design packages.
- Strong background leading design reviews and securing authority approvals.
- Proven ability to balance design quality with budget, schedule, and stakeholder expectations.
- Experience presenting design progress, risks, and recommendations to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
