Director Emergency Services (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Emergency Services (RN) to provide clinical and operational leadership for Emergency Department services in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. This opportunity is designed for an accomplished emergency nursing professional with proven leadership experience who is prepared to oversee department performance, clinical quality, staff development, and patient-care standards.

The Director of Emergency Services will work closely with nursing leadership, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to maintain a high-performing Emergency Department. This position requires a leader who understands the pace and complexity of emergency care and can translate that clinical expertise into effective team leadership, operational improvement, and consistently high standards of patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Current Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact RN License with Arizona endorsement
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing school
• Master's degree in Nursing or a relevant field
• Current BCLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Current TNCC certification
• Current Handle with Care certification
• Professional nursing experience within an Emergency Department
• Proven Emergency Department leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Progressive nursing leadership experience within Emergency Services
• Experience overseeing clinical teams, department operations, and performance initiatives
• Strong understanding of emergency nursing standards, patient safety, and quality improvement
• Experience developing and mentoring nursing staff
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams within a high-acuity environment
• Strong communication, decision-making, and organizational leadership abilities

The ideal candidate is an experienced Emergency Department RN leader who combines a strong clinical foundation in emergency nursing with demonstrated success leading people and operations. This individual should be comfortable making critical decisions in a fast-paced environment, developing nursing staff, collaborating with physicians and hospital leadership, and maintaining high standards for patient safety and quality of care.

Candidates with progressive Emergency Department leadership experience, advanced education, and a track record of improving clinical operations and team performance will be particularly well aligned with this opportunity.

Compensation

$111,000 – $150,000 annually

Compensation within the listed range will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience, specialized expertise, qualifications, and overall alignment with the position.
