Director, Enterprise Architecture & Intelligent Automation
You will define and govern enterprise architecture for internal systems, integrations, and intelligent automation. You will lead the Architecture Review Board, establish standards and decision frameworks, guide technical decisions, and align system roadmaps with enterprise strategy. You will oversee integration and data-flow patterns, automation choices across agentic AI, RPA, and traditional integrations, and software-governance efforts. You will ensure architectures meet SOX, security, access-control, data-governance, and audit-readiness requirements while mentoring Integration, RPA, and IA Engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive enterprise architecture strategy and standards for internal systems and core business applications
- Establish and lead the Architecture Review Board
- Guide technical approaches and integration patterns with system owners and project teams
- Design and govern integration architectures, data-flow patterns, API-first approaches, and data warehouse and reverse ETL models
- Create and execute an automation strategy spanning agentic AI, RPA, and traditional integration technologies
- Rationalize automation investments and define tool-selection decision frameworks
- Implement software-governance processes to reduce shadow IT, software sprawl, technical debt, and unnecessary spend
- Ensure architectures meet SOX compliance, security, access-control, data-governance, and audit-readiness requirements
- Align decentralized system roadmaps with enterprise architecture strategy
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Integration, RPA, and IA Engineering teams
Requirements
- Extensive experience defining and governing enterprise architecture in complex, matrixed organizations
- Experience leading architecture strategy across ERP, CRM, CPQ, billing, and financial platforms
- Deep technical background in integration, automation, and AI
- Expert knowledge of data modeling, integration architecture patterns, API design, and microservices architecture
- Experience establishing and leading architecture review boards or similar governance frameworks
- Experience reducing shadow IT and software sprawl through software governance, portfolio rationalization, and roadmap alignment
- Deep understanding of SOX compliance, internal controls, and security architecture for business applications
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills with VP and C-level stakeholders
