Director (Financial Technology Industry)

About the Company

Our client is an international financial technology business with a growing regional presence. They are looking for a senior leader to take full ownership of their Asia operations and lead the next phase of growth.

The Role
As Executive Director, you will hold P&L accountability for the regional business and serve as its most senior representative. You will set strategy, build the leadership team, and ensure the business scales responsibly within its regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the regional business end to end, including strategy, P&L, headcount, and business planning
• Drive revenue growth and market expansion across the region
• Maintain strong relationships with regulators and ensure compliance obligations are met
• Partner with senior leadership to align regional priorities with overall company strategy
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing cross-functional team
• Represent the business with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders
• Oversee governance, risk management, and internal controls

Requirements

• 15+ years in financial services or financial technology, with at least 5 years in senior leadership
• Proven track record running a regulated business or P&L in Asia
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks for financial services in Singapore and the region
• Credibility with regulators, clients, and senior stakeholders
• Entrepreneurial, hands-on leader who thrives in fast-moving, high-growth environments
• Degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification is a plus
