Build the HCP marketing engine for launch.

At Achieve Life Sciences, we’re preparing to bring an innovative smoking cessation treatment to market and building the commercial capabilities needed to support our next phase of growth. As we prepare for the potential launch of cytisinicline, we have an opportunity to shape how healthcare professionals learn about the product, engage with the brand, and access the information they need to support patients living with nicotine dependence.

Reporting to the SVP, Marketing & Communications, the Director, HCP Marketing will translate the broader brand and commercial strategy into effective, coordinated HCP marketing programs. This is a hands-on individual contributor role with significant ownership, visibility, and cross-functional influence. You’ll bring strategy to life across omnichannel campaigns, field enablement, peer-to-peer programs, congresses, digital engagement, and promotional materials, working closely with Marketing, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Sales Training, and external agency partners to build the HCP marketing capabilities needed for launch and beyond.

What You’ll Do

  • Execute HCP Marketing Strategy: Translate brand strategy, HCP insights, segmentation, and market research into actionable marketing plans and programs. Coordinate execution across personal and non-personal promotion, ensuring HCP initiatives align with broader brand priorities and work cohesively with consumer marketing efforts.
  • Lead Omnichannel Campaigns & Content: Develop and execute integrated HCP campaigns across digital channels, promotional materials, and other professional touchpoints. Manage HCP content development and channel execution to deliver relevant, consistent brand messaging throughout the HCP journey.
  • Enable the Field Sales Organization: Partner with Sales, Sales Training, and Commercial leadership to develop and deliver effective field-facing resources, including detail aids, digital sales aids, and other promotional tools. Ensure materials support field execution, address HCP needs, and align with approved brand strategy.
  • Manage Speaker Programs & HCP Engagement: Build and execute speaker bureau and peer-to-peer education programs, support key opinion leader (KOL) engagement and advisory board initiatives, and coordinate related activities with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Lead Congress & Conference Execution: Plan and execute HCP congresses, conferences, and other professional engagement opportunities. Coordinate timelines, content, creative assets, agency deliverables, and cross-functional participation to ensure high-quality, consistent brand execution.
  • Partner Across Medical & Commercial: Collaborate with Medical Affairs on disease-state education and appropriate HCP engagement, maintaining clear roles and alignment across functions. Work closely with Commercial leadership and Sales Training to coordinate programs, incorporate field insights, and ensure HCP initiatives support broader launch objectives.
  • Manage Agencies, Budgets & Execution: Lead day-to-day relationships with creative, media, research, and other agency partners. Manage program timelines, budgets, deliverables, and performance, ensuring work is executed efficiently and in alignment with business priorities.
  • Coordinate Promotional Review & Compliance: Partner with Medical, Legal, Regulatory, and other stakeholders to coordinate Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) or Promotional Review Committee (PRC) review. Maintain clear review timelines, address feedback, and help ensure promotional materials progress efficiently through approval processes.
  • Support CRM-Enabled Engagement & Measurement: Partner with Commercial Operations and other stakeholders on Veeva and CRM-enabled HCP engagement, campaign execution, and performance measurement. Use campaign results, field feedback, and engagement data to identify opportunities to improve program effectiveness.

What You’ll Bring

  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology marketing experience, with a track record of translating brand strategy into effective HCP marketing programs and executing across multiple channels.
  • Experience supporting a pharmaceutical product launch, ideally in a specialty pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.
  • Hands-on experience developing and executing HCP promotional campaigns, field sales materials, digital programs, congresses, and other professional engagement initiatives.
  • Experience managing creative, media, research, and other agency partners, including oversight of deliverables, timelines, budgets, and execution quality.
  • Familiarity with speaker bureaus, peer-to-peer programs, KOL engagement, advisory boards, and other HCP engagement strategies.
  • Experience coordinating promotional materials through MLR/PRC review and working collaboratively with Medical, Legal, Regulatory, and Commercial stakeholders.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical promotional compliance and the distinct roles of Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Commercial teams.
  • Familiarity with Veeva, CRM-enabled HCP engagement, omnichannel marketing, and campaign measurement.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously, maintain momentum, and deliver high-quality work against launch timelines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across functions, manage competing priorities, and build productive relationships with senior leaders and external partners.
  • A hands-on, adaptable approach and the ability to thrive in a lean, evolving organization where building capabilities and executing the work go hand in hand.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience launching a specialty pharmaceutical or biotechnology product in a complex or emerging therapeutic category.
  • Experience in smoking cessation, pulmonology, addiction medicine, or a behavioral health-related therapeutic area.
  • Experience supporting a commercial organization through launch readiness, including coordination across HCP marketing, consumer marketing, field sales, Medical Affairs, and Sales Training.
