Director (Intellectual Property)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the Company's global intellectual property strategy.
- Manage worldwide patent, trademark, copyright, design, and trade secret portfolios.
- Provide legal and strategic advice on IP protection, licensing, commercialization, and enforcement.
- Lead patent filing, prosecution, portfolio management, and IP risk assessment.
- Manage IP litigation, disputes, and external legal counsel.
- Support mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and technology licensing through IP due diligence.
- Partner with R&D, engineering, and business teams to protect innovations and strengthen the Company's competitive position.
- Ensure compliance with applicable intellectual property laws and regulations.
Job Requirements
- Master's Degree in Law (LL.M.) or equivalent from a recognised university.
- At least 20–25 years of relevant experience in intellectual property law, preferably gained within multinational technology companies or leading international law firms.
- Strong expertise in patents, trademarks, licensing, IP litigation, and global IP portfolio management.
- Experience supporting technology-driven industries such as consumer electronics, precision manufacturing, semiconductors, or related sectors.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
