Director, Marketing

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Marketing based in United States.

This is a senior marketing leadership opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in Property & Casualty insurance. You will shape the strategic marketing direction across agent engagement, brand positioning, communications, and customer-facing initiatives. The role combines high-level strategy with hands-on execution in a lean, fast-moving environment. You will develop campaigns and content that strengthen awareness, engage agents, and support distribution growth. You will also leverage HubSpot, marketing analytics, and automation to measure performance and improve marketing ROI. Working closely with sales, underwriting, claims, revenue operations, and executive leadership, you will play a key role in translating market insights into growth opportunities.

Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy for Homeowners, Commercial, Flood, and other insurance products, aligning initiatives with business and distribution objectives.
  • Design and deliver agent education, training programs, resources, and communications that increase product knowledge, engagement, and adoption.
  • Maintain and improve the Agent Resource Center, ensuring forms, guides, collateral, and other resources remain accurate and accessible.
  • Plan and execute trade shows, conferences, events, and other industry initiatives, establishing KPIs to evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Own website strategy, content, and messaging to attract and retain agents and policyholders while maintaining consistent brand positioning across channels.
  • Build and manage content calendars covering blog posts, webinars, infographics, videos, email campaigns, social media, sales materials, and other communications.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market dynamics to identify opportunities and continuously refine marketing strategies.
  • Lead the use of HubSpot for CRM, marketing workflows, sequences, templates, communications, reporting, and lead-generation initiatives.
  • Partner with Revenue Operations to track campaign performance, analyze marketing ROI, and translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, underwriting, claims, and leadership teams to ensure marketing programs support broader business priorities.
  • Manage and optimize marketing budgets throughout the year, balancing strategic priorities, resources, and expected returns.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two marketing professionals while establishing clear priorities and maintaining high standards of execution.
  • Present marketing strategies, performance updates, and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Requirements

    • Bring 7+ years of professional marketing experience, including at least 2 years of direct experience within the Property & Casualty insurance sector.
    • Have previous experience working with an MGA, MGU, small carrier, or comparable insurance organization.
    • Bring 2–3 years of experience leading, mentoring, or managing marketing team members.
    • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline.
    • Demonstrate strong knowledge of insurance products and the ability to create and edit detailed insurance-related content with a high level of accuracy.
    • Have advanced experience with HubSpot and Zapier, using CRM, automation, and marketing technology to support strategic business objectives.
    • Be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and Slack.
    • Have strong graphic and content production capabilities using tools such as Canva, Visme, Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign.
    • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and performance insights confidently to senior leadership.
    • Be analytical and data-driven, with the ability to translate marketing data and customer insights into practical actions.
    • Have a builder mindset and thrive in lean, high-accountability environments where ownership and initiative are valued.
    • Be comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution, multitasking, and shifting priorities in a fast-paced setting.
    • Demonstrate strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
    • Be willing and able to travel for conferences, trade shows, team meetings, training, and other business activities.
    • Have reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated, quiet workspace suitable for professional remote work.
