This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Mission Assurance Division (MAD). The primary purpose of this position is to provide strategic planning, leadership, and management of all facility operations, logistics, continuity planning, exercise coordination, and security functions within DHS I&A. As a Director- Mission Assurance Division, GS-0301-15, your typical work assignments may include: Responsible for the strategic planning, leadership, and management of all facility operations, logistics, continuity planning, exercise coordination, and security functions within DHS I&A. Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the MAD, ensuring all division activities comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and policy requirements and meets customer needs across I&A HQ and field locations. Monitors the effectiveness of security operations, ensures that identified deficiencies and vulnerabilities are addressed through corrective actions, and maintains close coordination with security counterparts across DHS and the Intelligence Community to support integrated security risk management. Provides leadership, supervision, guidance, and professional development for staff managing facilities and logistics, continuity and exercises, and security operations. Oversees the Continuity and Exercise Branch (CEB), directing the development, execution, and maintenance of continuity of operations, emergency preparedness, and related exercise programs. Ensures required continuity exercises and tests are planned and executed in accordance with applicable directives, standards, and guidance. Proactively assesses and budgets for current and future resources requirements supporting facilities, logistics, security, and continuity, ensuring that MAD resources are aligned with I&A strategic objectives and mission priorities.
