Director of Accounting
Job Summary:
The Director of Accounting will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, cash flows, and other related financial activities. Additionally, this position provides reporting, analysis and month-end support to the CFO and the business as a whole.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Apply a broad knowledge of accounting methods and procedures across the organization.
- Oversee the month-end close process for a team of three. Processes include journal entry review, income statement preparation, and variance analysis reporting.
- Develop processes to reconcile and review balance sheet reconciliations on a periodic basis.
- Responds to informational requests and assists with DOL,401k, and year end audits.
- Partner with Operations to review monthly profit and loss statement to ensure cost effectiveness.
- Assists in managing cash collections and accounts payable disbursements.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Department projects and other duties as assigned.
