Director of Campus Events
Summary
Leads campus event planning, execution, and branding for a college, coordinating major events like Homecoming and Commencement while managing logistics, partnerships, and internal systems to support student success and institutional goals.
The Director of Campus Events provides cross-campus leadership to ensure the excellence and brand management of College events. The Director of Campus Events will actively partner with campus departments and off-campus interests, and manage the campus events team to determine event goals and ensure objectives are met. This will include event planning, management and coordination of major and mid-level events serving a wide variety of constituents.

- Provide the leadership and support to ensure the high quality of all events consistent with goals to enhance and leverage the Colleges brand in collaboration with the Office of Marketing and Communication as part of the External Relations division.
- Manage major campus events (such as Homecoming, Commencement, Society Gala and Bright Blue) as well as a variety of other high-visibility events in partnership with other departments across campus.
- Plan and manage events in the President’s Residence (Barnes House), in conjunction with the Office of the President and event sponsors.
- Create and manage annual event calendars and communicate event schedules, timelines, and deadlines to campus partners and departments.
- Provide on-site management of events, camps and conferences when appropriate and coordinate facilities, décor, food service, audio/visual, parking, lodging and security for on-campus events, collaborating with various departments across campus to meet institutional goals prioritizing student success, enrollment growth and sustainable finances.
- Demonstrate hospitality and form positive working relationships with on and off-campus constituents; communicate swiftly, thoroughly, and effectively.
- Develop partnerships to increase the number of facility rentals and summer camps/conferences and ensure their success in meeting institutional enrollment and revenue goals.
