Position Summary:
The Director of Carrier Sales is responsible for leading the carrier network development for Highway Capacity to ensure high levels of service performance while maximizing profitability via effective carrier sourcing and negotiation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop/Train employees to be highly successful Carrier Sales Reps.
- Direct/Lead carrier sourcing efforts to continuously expand Highway Capacity network and/or footprint.
- Lead/Coach relentless pursuit to build carrier relationships through lead generation & outbound/inbound sales calls.
- Lead effective carrier assessment program evaluating performance metrics.
- Provide the organization with up-to-date market intelligence on carrier capacity and network rates to support selling efforts to customers.
- Manage/Evaluate Carrier Sales KPI’s.
- Manage relationship with Highway ensuring carrier set up tool is meeting expectations.
- Ensure compliance with onboarding carriers on Highway Capacity requirements.
- Lead Carrier Sales in maintaining constant communication with carriers to leverage capacity and manage existing portfolios.
- Offer top-end service to both carriers and customers.
- Lead Carrier Sales Identify distinct markets revolving customer demand & create network density to ensure coverage.
- Support the sales department with timely cost quotations, transit times and availability.
- Lead Carrier Sales in negotiate aggressively to increase transactional footprint while bolstering margin per load.

Preferred Experience:
- 8 years industry experience
- College degree preferred
