As Clinical / Social Director at College Living Experience (CLE), you'll lead the social-emotional development of your students by providing clinical insight into individualized student needs and guiding staff in supporting young adults with autism, ADHD, and learning differences.

This is a leadership role, not a traditional therapy position. Rather than providing r mental health treatment, you'll use your expertise to shape individualized supports, coach staff, and help students apply social, emotional, and behavioral skills in everyday life.

You'll work closely with students, families, and an interdisciplinary team focused on academics, career development, independent living, and social development.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee social-emotional and behavioral supports that promote emotional regulation, healthy relationships, self-advocacy, and independence.
  • Provide consultation and practical strategies to staff navigating student challenges.
  • Develop individualized support plans and guide the team in implementation of positive strategies.
  • Collaborate with outside clinical providers when additional mental health or therapeutic support, as needed.

Program & Staff Leadership

  • Supervise, mentor, and support in the professional development of team members.
  • Oversee individualized social skills instruction, group programming, and community-based learning opportunities.
  • Train and coach staff on neurodiversity, effective communication, and behavioral support strategies.
  • Evaluate student progress and program effectiveness, making adjustments to strengthen outcomes.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and staff performance management.

Family & Team Collaboration

  • Partner with families to support student growth, healthy boundaries, and increasing independence.
  • Collaborate with CLE's Academic, Career Development, Independent Living, and Social Skills teams.
  • Provide guidance during complex student situations and support coordinated planning.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, communicate student progress, and uphold professional and ethical standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in psychology, counseling, social work, behavior analysis, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong understanding of autism, ADHD, learning differences, and the social-emotional development of young adults.
  • Experience with behavioral supports, individualized planning, and clinical consultation.
  • Demonstrated leadership, staff supervision, or team development experience.
  • Ability to translate clinical knowledge into practical strategies for students, families, and staff.
  • A collaborative, strengths-based approach that promotes student autonomy and independence.

Why Join CLE?

At CLE, you'll have the opportunity to use your clinical background in a setting where progress happens through real-world experiences.

  • Lead and influence: Guide a team and shape programming that directly impacts student development.
  • See meaningful growth: Help young adults build friendships, navigate challenges, and become more independent.
  • Work collaboratively: Partner with professionals across academic, career, independent living, and social development disciplines.
  • Apply clinical expertise differently: Focus on consultation, skill development, and practical support rather than traditional therapy.
