BGCAA is a fun, highly collaborative, and dynamic community. Our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
An ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of Boys & Girls Club management experience, or in a similar youth development program. They should be highly organized and detail oriented, able to effectively communicate and work well with others in a team capacity, work with a sense of urgency, especially under pressure and tight deadlines, and be ready to roll up their sleeves and jump in when needed. TX 21 Grant experience is highly desired.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Four-year degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of three years previous management experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar youth development organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people.
- Ability to communicate ideas effectively to the public.
- Ability to deal effectively with members in all types of situations, including discipline problems.
- Demonstrated ability in working with colleagues, youth, parents, and community leaders.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of budget preparation, control, and management
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions—hot, cold, rainy, etc.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of working with children.
- Ability to move equipment up to 25 pounds.
