Director of Cybersecurity 1
Royal Ocean Marine is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Cybersecurity for our client to lead cybersecurity initiatives and ensure the safety and integrity of information systems. The successful candidate will develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy, oversee the cybersecurity team, and collaborate with other departments to identify and address security vulnerabilities. The Director of Cybersecurity will play a crucial role in protecting the organization from cyber threats and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy aligned with business objectives
- Oversee the cybersecurity team, providing guidance, support, and professional development
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify potential threats and weaknesses
- Establish and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards across the organization
- Monitor and respond to security breaches and incidents, ensuring appropriate incident response plans are in place
- Work closely with IT and other departments to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices
- Conduct regular training and awareness programs to enhance cybersecurity awareness within the organization
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, technologies, and trends
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on leadership roles
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)
- Proven experience in designing and implementing cybersecurity programs
- Excellent knowledge of current cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are preferred
