Directs data and analytics for the Dominican Sisters of Mary's Office of Evangelization and Mission in Ann Arbor: auditing and unifying data systems (donor, digital, event, social, email), building leadership dashboards, producing quarterly reports with evidence-based recommendations, and leading the data team. About the Position:
- Data Infrastructure and Integration: Conduct an audit of existing data systems across OEM initiatives and identify gaps, redundancies, and disconnects; establish a unified data framework that connects mission impact, donor data, digital analytics, event data, social media, and email performance into a coherent view; build and maintain dashboards that give leadership real-time visibility into organizational performance.
- Reporting and Analytics: Own the quarterly reporting cycle by producing structured reports that surface trends, strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities across OEM initiatives; work with all director levels to set signs of growth and quarterly targets to track against (targets vs. actuals); track and report on priority metrics including mission impact, donor retention and giving trends, social reach and engagement, email open and click rates, event attendance, and overall evangelization effort; translate raw data into plain language insights that non-technical leadership can respond to; maintain historical data integrity so that trend analysis is reliable over time.
- Data Storytelling and Recommendations: Present quarterly findings to OEM Executive Director with clear, evidence-based recommendations; Identify patterns that indicate strategic opportunity or risk, and surface them proactively rather than reactively.
- Cross-Initiative Collaboration: Establish shared definitions and standards for how data is collected and categorized across initiatives to ensure consistency.
- Team Development (Emerging): As OEM matures, work with Executive Director to define the structure of the data and analytics team.
Required qualifications, skills, knowledge:
- Willingness to learn about and serve the mission of the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist.
- Demonstrated ability to work with multiple data sources and synthesize them into a coherent interpretable view.
- Proficiency in SQL and various data tools, including the current CRM used, Virtuous.
- Strong data visualization and dashboard-building skills.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, plain language insights for non-technical audiences.
- Strong project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Discretion and professionalism in working collaboratively with religious Sisters, donors, and staff.
- Self-starter, adaptive and flexible mindset.
- Can work with minimal direction if needed.
- Experience with Microsoft products (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
Preferred qualifications, skills, knowledge:
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
- 2+ years of relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
