Director of Engineering at NuPort Robotics

Lead NuPort Robotics as the Director of Engineering, focusing on groundbreaking autonomous driving technology. Execute technical roadmaps and mentor top-tier engineers while working in the Greater Toronto Area or remotely. As the Director of Engineering, you will report directly to the CEO/CTO, overseeing a team of Roboticists and Machine Learning Engineers. Your primary responsibility will be delivering autonomous driving technology for the transportation market while developing the company’s Engineering and Software Architecture. The position demands a strategic mindset and technical leadership to navigate the challenges of the automotive industry. Key Responsibilities: • Manage technical development projects and architecture recommendations • Collaborate with product managers to establish technical roadmaps • Implement DevOps principles to enhance software delivery • Lead a team across various engineering domains • Oversee cloud and data infrastructure insights Requirements: • PhD in a technical field with 7+ years experience • Proficiency in C++, Python, and ROS • At least 3 years in senior roles for autonomous vehicles • Strong understanding of algorithms in computer vision • Proven experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and Linux scripting Become a key player in pioneering self-driving technology with NuPort Robotics.
