Position Details: Full Time
What You'll Do:
- Manage departmental operations within the approved budget while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, organized, and inspection-ready environment in compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise housekeeping, laundry, and grounds operations to ensure quality and timely service.
- Monitor departmental performance, maintain records and reports, and ensure compliance with Friends Homes policies and standards.
- Oversee contractor bids and make recommendations to administration.
- Conduct staff meetings and collaborate with other departments to coordinate services.
- Build positive relationships with residents and staff while addressing service quality and concerns.
- Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate employees in accordance with company policies and budget guidelines.
- Provide coaching, professional development, and progressive discipline as needed.
- Ensure proper equipment use and maintenance through training and supervisor accountability.
- Implement improvements that enhance the community environment and resident experience.
- Participate in community committees, professional development opportunities, and the Manager on Duty weekend rotation
Required:
- Background in Environmental Services
- Management experience
- Must be knowledgeable of Privacy laws, Federal Requirements of Participation as those relate to Life Safety and Infection Control, All Hazard and OSHA Act and its regulations.
- Minimum of 3-5 years supervisory experience in Environmental Services, Housekeeping, or Laundry Operations within healthcare, long-term care, hospital, or senior living environments
Preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Hospitality, Environmental Services, or related field.
- Experience in a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), Skilled Nursing Facility, or hospital environment
- EVS or Healthcare Housekeeping Certification preferred
