Job Summary
The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the hotel, ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and strategic planning. This role involves managing budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis to support the hotel’s overall goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal policies.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and realistic financial plans.
- Prepare and analyze financial forecasts to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Analyze financial performance and variances against budget, providing recommendations for improvement.
Cash Flow Management
- Monitor cash flow and manage working capital to ensure the hotel’s financial stability.
- Develop strategies to optimize cash flow and minimize financial risks.
Internal Controls
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the hotel’s assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the finance team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work culture within the finance department.
Strategic Planning
- Collaborate with executive management to develop financial strategies that align with the hotel’s business goals.
- Participate in strategic decision-making, providing financial insights and analysis to support growth initiatives.
