Director of Finance
You will lead financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting operations, reporting, cash flow, capital allocation, and treasury functions. You will manage audits, tax filings, regulatory reporting, financial systems, and growth opportunity analysis while leading a small finance and accounting team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies
- Lead long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Provide insights for business decisions and profitability
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll operations
- Ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP
- Coordinate audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
- Manage cash flow, capital allocation, and treasury functions
- Optimize financial systems and processes
- Evaluate and execute growth opportunities including potential mergers and acquisitions
- Mentor and manage the finance and accounting team
Requirements
- 10-15 years of progressive finance experience focused on high-tech startups
- Significant experience in high-tech startup environments
- Proven success in a senior finance leadership role
- Expertise in technical accounting, financial modeling, budgeting, and reporting
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and corporate accounting principles
- Experience managing audits, compliance, and regulatory reporting
- Hands-on approach to finance and accounting processes
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Experience in hardware companies preferred
- CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
