Director of Finance

Lead financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting operations, reporting, cash flow, capital allocation, treasury functions, audits, tax filings, regulatory reporting, financial systems, growth opportunity analysis, and a finance and accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies
• Lead long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
• Provide insights for business decisions and profitability
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll operations
• Ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP
• Coordinate audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
• Manage cash flow, capital allocation, and treasury functions
• Optimize financial systems and processes
• Evaluate and execute growth opportunities including potential mergers and acquisitions
• Mentor and manage the finance and accounting team

Requirements

• 10-15 years of progressive finance experience focused on high-tech startups
• Significant experience in high-tech startup environments
• Proven success in a senior finance leadership role
• Expertise in technical accounting, financial modeling, budgeting, and reporting
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and corporate accounting principles
• Experience managing audits, compliance, and regulatory reporting
• Hands-on approach to finance and accounting processes
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Experience in hardware companies preferred
• CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
